small

If only I were not so small,
If I could just dazzle the world with my sharpened blood.
Let me be as big as the ocean
Let me be the stars, let me be the galaxy
Let me be enough.
I want to be as gentle as a stream after rain, but as powerful as a war ship.
I want to build temples and paint the skyline with mountains
I want to carve clouds into the sky and arrange stars like christmas lights
Make me a tree with endless fruit that can give to all the hungry
Make me an oak table that can support a family
Make me a library filled with books so that I can teach a village.
Make me a fire, make me a storm, make me a field
but please oh please don’t let me be so small
