A Few Initial Guidelines.

1. ZO Magazine’s mission is to promote art and artists and to promote better communication between people internationally through the arts. ZO is a meeting place for creative souls and is very aware of the cultural differences and dilemmas that global interaction can present. We have connections from various parts of the world who are deep thinkers and who have interesting, relevant, and educational debates (occasional rants and heated disagreements) flourishing on their own personal web pages. These subjects range from regional politics to world conflicts, religious beliefs, racial and cultural challenges, and a host of other current topics affecting all of us — BUT — for ZO’s purposes, we generally suspend direct commentary, articles, etc. in regard to politics, religious dogma, cultural conflicts and those types of differences. We accept everyone’s art, music, poetry, etc. (even if it is “respectfully” about the subjects we suspend). Our only criteria is subjective — as to what seems to fit ZO’s particular style and concepts. We are not directly affiliated with any political, religious, governmental, racial, cultural, or social movements. We are creative thinkers . . . artists.Hence, we do not link to sites that are distinctly in any political, religious, governmental, racial, cultural, or social movement category.
2. As we encounter a world that we know is extremely complicated, we also limit our subject matters and presentations to material we feel would be appropriate for general audiences. If we were a movie, we would be PG-13. We also do not advertise or link to sponsors that are affiliate advertisers (i.e., a site link just to garner traffic), nor do we link to adult content webpages or those that promote or sell alcohol or other substances for adult-oriented audiences (i.e., over 21). We distinctly require that Sponsors give us a creative web, social media page, or creative cause site to link to if they become a CITY Sponsor. ZO has an advisory board that will make decisions regarding sites we view as not meeting these criteria.  We reserve the right not to accept your sponsorship if we find that the link you have supplied does not meet our criteria. Your link must also be a secure link.
3. We will attempt to determine in advance whether your sponsorship meets our criteria. If we find within 30 days of sponsorship or advertising that you do not meet our criteria, your sponsor fee will be refunded. If you change your representative link to content that does not meet our criteria after 30 days, if your sponsorship or advertising runs longer than a 30 day period, it will be removed without refund.
