Artists Liaison
TARA COTTER’ NESCI
ZO first met Tara Cotter’ Nesci in the wee hours of many late nights — engaging a thriving community of artists on one of the first social networks — MySpace ♥. All of us still have a very tender heart toward the freshness of those times and the “conversations” we all relished around life, color, new possibilities and the inspired hopes that these new contacts brought to all of us.
Like a new romance, many of the incredible artists there were new to both Tara and ZO.
During that time, ZO launched a few websites, as we began to feature the art of both known and developing artists from the network of friends we were building. We asked Tara if she would help us to find art and artists to feature, and she probably procured a good 50% of the highlights ZO began to spotlight on its growing international platform. Finally, in 2014, our website had a slight explosion of activity with our first Poetry Expo! We featured the art of Luis José Estremadoyro – a Peruvian artist who is considered a modern master. His portrait, “The Nightly Unfolding of Madame de Loynes” proved to be a provocative theme for the poetry Expo and the judges we added joined us in person in an event launch filled with Poetry, Fashion, Food & a continuing build up of Friends!
Tara helped us to continue these annual Expos while featuring and adding art, music, and a wide variety of Everything Creative. As we go into our 11th Year of publishing, we have now featured over 2000 creatives, and we absolutely LOVE how all of this continues to build.
In 2025, we released a film project called The O.D.D. Room that the magazine started in 2010 (during the days we were still building on MySpace), and all of us have taken positions as Time Travelers, including Tara – as NESCI! We look forwad to where all of this going . . . and although we have some ideas, we try not to box in our “different kind of universe.”
