a telluric rattlesnake beat, as i
ascend through sandstone, gypsum,
cactus spines and clay
Parched totems in a waterless sea
i dream of lizards under a tectonic spell,
memories of godless nights, lost beginnings,
coyotes beneath the ichorous gaze of
the moon
