DRIVER
(checks the meter – it starts rolling in reverse)

LEE
How long you think this’ll take?

DRIVER
. . . it started in the Mesozoic Era “when certain pawns became ‘enlightened’ . . .“

LEE
(awakening)
What?

DRIVER
The pawns are BACK . . .

Juniper Orion Lee looks at her watch and out the window . . . “What?”

EXT. CAB – POV LEE
The cab is in a room with no floor. A stately woman BINNEN GUREN VII walks toward Lee.

BINNEN GUREN VII
Every race, nation, and religion has its monsters. You’ll be a pawn until you know that.

As Guren reaches toward Lee, the calm on Lee’s face turns to terror.

She was not accustomed to fear.
