Music for “a Different Kind of Universe”
ZO’s Time-Based Game has a playing field of 95 Planets. Eventually, we will need New Music for these New Worlds, and will pull that from ZO’s affiliated artists. Until we develop to that point, we are featuring the Musical Flavor of Artists that ZO has interviewed over the past 12 years, along with classic favorites from our Team and Creative Connections. Music is a very large part of ZO’s artistic presentations. If you click on our various pages, you will find that we post music on a lot of our pages. The music is usually instrumental or something thoughtful, meditative, and on occasion, avante garde. Our presentations are multi-genre and not limited to time, so as we expand the globe, we also feature experimental and surreal compositions.

. . . we’ve got a lot on the burner at ZO, including organizing a global Time ZOne Masque that we’ve been planning with artists, musicians, and other creatives for many years. Plans are massive so who knows when we’ll finally put it all together. It will be what it will be. Details will continue developing at the link.
Kendra Beltran, a Music Editor with ZO, has done the lion’s share of directing our music features for years. While she takes a hiatus we’ve started a new column of ARTS on the Welcome Page called Omne Trium Perfectum. These are a mix of archives and new articles sprinkled in organically as they “manifest” . . .
This was a really fun project! In 2018, we asked each musician interviewed to submit a line of poetry based on one singular concept; circles. The result was quite extraordinary. Go to the page to read and check out all of the music . . .
MUSIC has been one of the greatest forces for change on Earth … these are a few projects that ZO has been following with the hope of collaborating on something planetary and meaningful.
Pictured is KIM CHURCH – a part of the PLAYING FOR CHANGE movement. Admittedly, there is a lot of trouble on planet Earth, but there are some extremely beautiful people here also; and the world – no matter what you say – is growing more aware, more united, and more informed each day … BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE really works.
Playing for Change connects musicians all over the world in these amazing synchronized concerts. It takes a lot of coordination but would be great if it could happen at least once a week until things change. Yeah, wishful thinking.

Idan has fused Israeli pop music with Middle Eastern, African, Indian and other global sounds in multicultural collaborations which are not only breaking down stereotypes and barriers – but also sales!

I was surprised at how many years he’s been breaking down assumptions and barriers in the middle east. Still a lot of people haven’t heard of him. His concerts with India Arie are amazing! The perspective of talks between the musicians he works with really shows the difference in perspective on peace in the middle east. They play so well together!
