City of Dreams Phase I Project – CAb [Crenshaw Arts Building]

The City of Dreams Phase I Project was orchestrated by Artitude International, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under the art direction of Ericco Studio.

We are currently in development to take it to the next level with the construction of three building models for a Creative Arts Center. We are very excited about this idea. The models will include:

Those of you who are familiar with our Projects may have visited CAb — the 17,000 sq. ft. creative space we jointly developed with Ericco Studio in Inglewood, CA. Phase I of the City of Dreams Project was held and filmed at CAb.

We also recently developed NoHo Creative Space where we launched several unique events held throughout a suite of multi-use art spaces that allowed us to include performances, exhibitions and a Zoom Room that inspired and launched the regular creative Zoom calls now being developed by ZO Magazine. Our Phase I project was to encourage young artists to dream on a City-Scale level . . . for a better community, better neighborhood, a better future. If you can inspire a child to develop and envision a brighter world — they can bring it about! We will begin organizing Phase 2 of our vision with a search for 7 Young Visionaries between the ages of 16 and 26 to help us build the models for a New Creative Space. We are putting feelers out now, but will begin our official search in 2024. This new project continues where our 2D canvas left off. The new project will construct scaled models under the mentorship of an architectural firm for the 3-phase Creative Spaces mentioned above! We are now planning a unique Gala in conjunction with the project to raise funds. The Gala is now planned for Summer 2024.

We invite you to join us in this exciting adventure by connecting, keeping us in your prayers and positive thoughts, and by donating. Your support and donations will help us continue to inspire young generations. We want to guide them into creating visions of their hopes and dreams in art and model forms. We also hope to bring these projects into real existence. We know this inspiration will help all of us strive for a world of safety, compassion, beauty, and creative solutions to the challenges that now exist. Information on more direct involvement will be available after January 1, 2024.

City of Dreams Phase I – Art Direction: Ericco Studios | Art Facilitation: Carlos Serratos

Artitude’s primary and specific objectives are:

The promotion of peace and goodwill between all people through the creative arts.
Seeking out and endeavoring to provide forums for the promotion and development of the creative arts.
Seeking for and endeavoring to bring together and encourage artists of diverse racial, ethnic, and national backgrounds for the cooperative public presentation of works of art and using these collaborative efforts to build connections of friendship, understanding, and knowledge between the races and between ideologically distant people.
Facilitation opportunities for interaction and improved working relationships between artisans of various backgrounds and hopefully thereby, further eliminating barriers of hatred, misunderstanding, and ignorance between such.
Disseminating educational material to the public, including, but not limited to, material relating to the creative, performance, and useful arts in all of their variety of expression (e.g., fine arts, sculpture, music, architecture, landscape, interior, and floral design (through Re-Creating Paradise – a division of Artitude), poetry, composition, glassblowing, graphic design, photography, dance, creative dramatics, cinema, etc.).
Producing, investigating, and encouraging, by aiding technically and financially, all types of artists in the above-described genres.
Educating, exposing, and informing the general public regarding these and other art forms. The form of this education being, but not limited to, the maintaining of facilities for instruction and public performances of such art forms.
Providing charitable assistance and exposure to those having talent in these art forms, generally.
Encouraging artisans and others to use their talents, gifts, and faculties in manners that will be towards the benefit of all mankind. Generally to encourage communication, cooperation, and charity.
