Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how ZO Magazine uses and protects the information you may give us. We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy to the best of our ability. If you provide us with personal information through ZO Magazine, it will be used under this privacy statement.
Website Visitors | ZO Magazine uses an open-source web provider which uses cookies. By default, the site manager uses cookies to verify who visitors to the site are. Additionally, plugins associated with the operation of the website may set cookies. For example, a plugin used called Cookies for Comments uses cookies to prevent comment spam. Another plugin analytics program that is a part of the site’s functioning supplies us with information regarding the pages visitors access and other non-personally identifying information that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. ZO Magazine’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to understand better how visitors use our website. From time to time, ZO Magazine may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, for example, by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
Gathering of personally-identifying information | All personally-identifying information that ZO Magazine may gather is through voluntary contact and must be initiated by the visitor. The amount and type of that information may vary and will depend on the purpose and nature of the interaction. For example, we may have a contact, subscription or sponsor form that may ask visitors for certain information. In other forums visitors may be asked to provide a username and email address.
In all of these cases, ZO Magazine collects this information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with ZO Magazine. Personally-identifying information other than as described is not collected and visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities, like purchasing a City Sponsorship, or other offered service.
Protection of certain personally-identifying information | ZO Magazine discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those project administrators, staff, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on ZO Magazine’s behalf or to provide services available through ZO Magazine, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others.
ZO Magazine does not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to project administrators, staff, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above, ZO Magazine would disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, if you give permission to have your information shared, or when ZO Magazine believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of ZO Magazine, third parties, or the public at large.
If you are affiliated with ZO Magazine and have supplied your email address, ZO Magazine may occasionally send you an email to tell you about its news, to solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with ZO Magazine. We primarily use our website to communicate, so this type of email is kept to a minimum.
Use of personal information | We will not sell or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email sent to you.
If you would like to request deletion of your information or associated data from ZO Magazine, please follow these steps: Please email info@zomagazine.com with all relevant information, including your name and any other information you believe we may have regarding your request. It would also be helpful if you would supply the date that we may have received this information.
Our website may contain links to other websites provided by third parties not under our control. When following a link and providing information to a 3rd-party website, please be aware that we are not responsible for the data provided to that third party. This privacy policy only applies to the websites listed at the beginning of this document, so when you visit other websites, you should read their own privacy policies.
Links | ZO Magazine is a communication hub for many artists and creative entities around the world. We link to artists, musicians, and a myriad of creative entities that we work with and feature. ZO cannot be responsible for privacy practices on other sites. Privacy information and policy stated herein are only applicable to ZO sites.
Contact for Other Sites | Please note we cannot provide help or information about other websites that may be linked to from ZO. For that information, we suggest contacting the site owner or author directly.
E-Commerce | Transactions made through ZO Magazine’s e-commerce store that require a credit card or debit card, are processed through Woo Commerce which stores the last four digits of the credit/debit card number, the expiration date, and the buyer’s name. The process does NOT store the full credit card number, pin number, CVV2 number, or any full-track data. Payment may also be made through PayPal and ZO receives no tracking information for credit card numbers from these purchases.
Privacy Information and Policy Changes | Changes to this information will update on this page as it is put into effect.
